I've been US citizen since 1998, have lost my old Chinese passport. This is my first time apply Chinese visa. I went to Chinese embassy last week, and was issued Chinese visa. They took my application and US password, and told me it would take long time to approve/deny Chinese visa. I have already purchased airline ticket to Beijing around end of June. Now I don't know what to do.
Have anyone successfully obtain chinese visa without original passport? The original passport is only required first time applying chinese visa with US passport.
