My two sons are both attending college at Cal State LA and working part-time. We're the three of us, mother and son, plus our elderly dog. He's a large, but elderly dog, doesn't destroy things, and isn't very active. Since suffering a spinal injury, he usually sleeps most of the time. We just need a small backyard where he can relieve himself and occasionally get some sun. He barks at strangers but has no history of attacking people. He's a hunting dog from the countryside, so he chases small animals. As a landlord myself, I understand that most landlords are reluctant to rent to tenants with pets. If your home has solid wood floors like mine, I'd use a carpet mat to protect them and keep it as clean as my own. I'm looking for a house within a 10-mile radius of downtown LA. My school is near Koreatown. A 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom ADU with independent access, cooking and laundry facilities, a small backyard, and at least one parking space inside the yard.
