怎么理解啊？不是说拿到收据就可以合法呆在美国了吗？一定要申请工卡拿到工卡才算合法吗？ By yan11
因为I-485 is pending，收到收据可以合法等待调整身份。但是收据不是给了申请者一个身份（immigration Status）。问你是什么身份？回答：AOS（调整身份中）。拿到工卡也不是合法身份，I-485被拒时，工卡回美证马上作废。
