**2007 Song-Zhu-Mei Picnic Announcement**

Dear CSSA members,

Working in the lab or the intern company for a whole summer? Now it's
time for us to relax ourselves! On Sept. 22, CSSA invite you to
Song-Zhu-Mei picnic at William R. Mason Regional Park. There you can
meet your alumni, have new friends and enjoy the funny games! You
won't miss it!

The following is a brief introduction of Song-Zhu-Mei picnic.

Ever since the first Song-Zhu-Mei picnic in 2002, it has been a
tradition carried out by alumni associations of Peking University,
Tsinghua University and Chiao Tung Universities. Now it is time for
the sixth one. There are more and more associations joining this event
in the past years. We are going to have 15 associations this year,
including:

UCLA, USC, UCI, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Jiaotong
University, Fudan University, CESASC, CSA, Joint Chinese
University Alumni Association of SC, University of Science and
Technology of China, Nanjing University, Zhejiang University,
CAST-LA, The University of Hong Kong.

It's Beida's turn to lead the coordination of the 2007 Songzhumei
Picnic. Lunch will be served; there will also be a lot of fun games
including raffle and tuck-of-war competitions. Please mark your
calendar and bring your family for a fun day with your old and new

Food registration: Please register for food at:
http://pku.org/pages/picnic_reg.php . Turn in money upon arrival. Total
Expense (including food, drink etc.): 15.00$, student with ID 10.00$

Transportation:

CSSA highly encourage our participants to volunteer as drivers.
Each carpool passenger needs to pay the volunteer driver $3.
CSSA will try to arrange carpool for those who do not drive.
The carpool will be assigned on a first-sign-up-first-serve basis.
Carpool may NOT be guaranteed for every registrant in case that we do
not have enough volunteer drivers.

Carpool pick-up:

Location: Westwood turn-around between Eng IV and parking lot 6
Time: 9:30am, Sat. 09/22/2007 (so that we can arrive at the resort
around 11:00am, on time for the picnic).

2) your name
3) # of people in your group
4) contact phone # (cell phone preferred)
5) whether you can be a driver and how many people you can take
6) whether you need pick-up

Carpool Registration Deadline: 09/16/07 Sunday 10:00 pm, Cancellation
before
09/20/07 12:00pm.
Registrants will be notified via email about carpool arrangements and
tips.
