Where: Lake Mead National Recreational Area

When: 9/1 - 9/3/2007

Dear Members and Friends,

We will be organizing a camping trip to Lake Mead at the Nevada / Arizona border for this Labor Day weekend. We will be camping close to the lake on the Nevada side, tour the lake and surrounding area, and have lots of fun.

Lake Mead is one of the most beautiful lakes in the U.S. The water is nice and warm and great for boating, jet skiing, fishing, or swimming. Lake Mead also provides great hiking trails, and is close to the world famous Hoover Dam. Best of all, Lake Mead is only 30 minutes drive from Vegas!!!

Please contact me ASAP if you like to join us. Please also let me know if you like to ride a Jet Ski or drive a boat. Please also let me know if you can bring a grill, bring meat / food, bring tent & sleeping bags, camping generator, or any other camping necessities.

Sample Itinerary:

Saturday 9/1:

Drive 3.5 hours to Lake Mead.

Set up camp at one of 3 camp ground around the lake, primary location: Boulder Beach

Go tour the famous Hoover Dam

BBQ and have a fun night

Sunday 9/2:

Wake up early in the morning to pick up a Jet Ski or a ski boat and race around the big and beautiful lake. If you like, you can bring your fishing rod to catch some trout and catfish. Fishing gears are also for rent at the marina. You can swim in the lake, go on a hike, or lake a cruise ($22 each).

At night, we can go to Vegas to catch a show, or just go gamble and have fun.

Monday 9/3:

Wake up refreshed. Clean up our camp site and pack for home.

Head to Vegas for lunch and maybe some shopping for the ladies. I prefer the Village Seafood Buffet at Rio.

Drive home safe and happy, bringing with us ton of pictures and great memories!!!

I hope to see everyone at Lake Mead for Labor Day!!!
