After scurrying around China for the last couple of weeks, it is good to be
home. While in Shanghai, I discovered that ballroom dancing is quite the
rage ¡V when we visited a public park during the day, I was surprised to find
dozens of couples dancing the Cha-Cha, Waltz, and (I think) Foxtrot in the
middle of the square, along side other people practicing Tai Chi, flying
kites, and having barbeques. I was equally astonished to find a Club with a
full house in the middle of the day full of people performing various
ballroom dances. Although I was not used to the music or the style of
dancing, it was interesting to see how ballroom dancing has flourished in
China.
Lisa will be wrapping up the East Coast Swing this coming Friday with some
intermediate/advance combinations, so review some of the combinations that
we have already learned, courtesy of Anthony's weekly reviews, and get ready
for some hip swaying music. Anthony also did a terrific job in sending out
the weekly notices, and I trust that you all received his wonderful emails.
I will be posting a list of email addresses this Friday which have been
repeatedly kicked back to me whenever I submitted our Club's weekly notices.
As I had mentioned before, these email addresses have been kicked back for
various reasons, ranging from non-existent addresses to servers that will
not accept our Club's mass emailing. Please review this list and make any
changes necessary because it is possible that we simply made spelling
errors. After posting this list for four weeks, I will purge any email
addresses from this list unless directed otherwise.
As always, I look forward to seeing y'all this Friday.
Warmest regards,
Wesley
