This celebration is a daytime affair that ends before dark. It is good for younger children but DOES NOT include a fireworks show. The activities include face-painting, storytelling, cotton candy, watermelon, pie eating contests, a challenging obstacle course and other children's games. Presidential look-alikes will roam the grounds and all-American food will be for sale. The day will conclude at 3:00 p.m with a patriotic concert by the Los Angeles Police Department Concert Band.
