President Zihe Rao of Nankai University to Visit Southern California

President Ziher Rao will visit Irvine on February10, 2008, following his participation in the 2008 Biophysical society annual meeting in Long Beach, California. In Irvine, the President Rao will celebrate Chinese lunar spring festival with Chinese students & scholars, and Nankai alumni. President Rao is member of China Science Academy who had numerous prestigious international publications, most important, all these papers based on research in China.

Nankai University locates in Tianjin, sharing its special experiences with the booming economy with Beijing, Bohai economic special zone and 2008 Olympic Games. Nankai University has made important contributions in support of politics, economy, culture and international cooperation in China.

The President looks forward to the opportunity to discuss with Chinese Students and Scholar in Southern California. The President also want to recruit new faculty members in the field of Environment Protection, Power Industry, biological & Medical Engineering, Information Technology, and high technology related subjects.

Time: 7 pm-9 pm February 10th 2008
